The Gyalsung Headquarters, in collaboration with the Royal Bhutan Army (RBA), is pleased to announce the opportunity for Gyalsups to volunteer for Border Monitoring Point (BMP) dutyas part of Voluntary National Service Duty.

 

The BMP duty is an opportunity for Gyalsups to showcase the Gyalsung training in the service of the Tsawa- Sum and thus eligible Gyalsups are encouraged to apply. The Gyalsups serving in the BMP duty will be under the Operational command and control of the Royal Bhutan Army. Specifically, the BMPs will be under the area of operations of RBA Wing IX, Pelrithang, Gelephu along the International Border.  The BMP duty will count towards your National Service Duty.

Eligibility All Gyalsups are eligible to participate regardless of their educational background or marital status. However, participants must be medically fit
Transportation Self- arrangement till RBA Wing 9, Pelrithang
Withdrawal Once a Gyalsup has volunteered for BMP duty and is shortlisted by the GHQ, he/she is not permitted to withdraw from the assignment for a period of three months unless a valid reason is provided. In the case of a genuine reason, proper procedures for withdrawal must be followed.

  1. Final selection for the BMP duties will be done by RBA Wing IX, Pelrithang, Gelephu, who will select Gyalsups based on their physical fitness and mental aptitude for border duties.
