Gyalsung – Bhutan’s National Service commemorates its first Raising Day today, marking one year since the launch of the inaugural batch of Gyalsung Training.
On this special occasion, we honor the farsighted vision of His Majesty the King in bringing together the youth of Bhutan from diverse backgrounds in a shared national experience and empowering them to contribute to the unity, security, and prosperity of our nation.
We also celebrate the achievements of over 6,331 Gyalsups who have successfully completed their training at the Gyalsung Academies to date, many of whom have already begun to shoulder their responsibilities in national service.
The Raising Day is an occasion to pay tribute to the unwavering support of the Royal Government, the Royal Bhutan Armed Forces, and the many individuals and institutions whose dedication has been vital to the success of Gyalsung. We also extend our profound gratitude to every Bhutanese family for placing their trust and belief in the transformative impact of Gyalsung for their children and for the nation.
On this day, the Gyalsung fraternity joins the Gyalsups in reaffirming our unconditional loyalty and commitment to uphold national unity and to serve the Tsawa Sum with utmost dedication.
