The Gyalsung Training for the Second Cohort of 2025 Batch with a total of 2013 Gyalsung Cadets commenced across four Gyalsung Academies on 1 August 2025.
His Majesty The King, at the Gyalsung inaugural ceremony on September 5, 2024, emphasized the transformative vision behind Gyalsung and stated, “National Service has been initiated to build a great future for our nation. Great accomplishments can only be achieved through hard work and total sacrifice—by overcoming adversity, delaying gratification, and demonstrating resolve, grit, and a positive spirit.”
The cadets will undergo a three-month training program, and their training will be completed by October 30, 2025. The Training Program aims to impart discipline, knowledge, and leadership skills while also instilling important values like integrity, excellence, accountability, and loyalty.
All Gyalsung Cadets will undergo Basic Military Training (BMT) to improve their physical strength and fitness. They will take part in drills and activities such as obstacle courses and weapon handling.
A total of 6331 young Bhutanese have successfully completed Gyalsung Training since its launch on 5th September 2024.
