The Gyalsung Headquarters is pleased to collaborate with the De-Suung Skilling Program to offer a specialized training program in Basic Swimming. This initiative is designed to equip Gyalsups with essential skills that support both personal growth and professional development.
Program Details: The training is a month-long intensive course held at the Bhutan Aquatics Federation in Babena, Thimphu. The program is scheduled to begin on 26 January 2026 and will conclude on 26 February 2026. There are currently 15 slots available for interested participants. No prior experience or specific eligibility is required for this basic course.
Essential Items to Carry: To ensure a comfortable and productive training period, participants are generally expected to bring the following items:
Clothing: OG Combat, RBA pattern combat, PT uniform, jungle boots, sneakers (1 pair), formal shoes (1 pair), sports clothes, pants and jackets, and one or two tracksuits. Please also include a minimum of one set of Gho/Kira along with Kabney and Rachu.
Toiletries: Shampoo and conditioner, soap, toothbrush and toothpaste, comb/brush, nail clippers, razor and shaving cream, bathroom slippers, facemasks, and sanitary items (for female participants).
Study Items: Notebooks, pens, and pencils.
Hostel Items: Laundry detergent, pillow, two sets of single bed sheets and pillowcases, towels, blankets, a sewing kit, and extension cords (small pins). You should also bring a plate, mug, spoon, bucket, jug, and shoe brush with polish.
Other Essentials: Spectacles, contact lenses and solutions, and any personal medicines or hygiene items required for your comfort. Please ensure you have your hair cut done before reporting to the venue.
Note:
- Food and lodging will be provided.
- Transportation must be arranged individually by the Gyalsups.
- The reporting date will be one day prior to the commencement of the course. Any changes to the date will be communicated individually through the group created by the DSP focal.
