The Gyalsung Headquarters, in partnership with the De-Suung Skilling Program, has officially opened applications for several specialized training programs designed to equip Gyalsups with professional expertise. These courses are structured to foster both personal growth and professional development for Bhutanese youth.
Training Programs & Details
Candidates can apply for the following technical and artisanal trades:
1. Automotive & Mechanical Trades: One-year programs for Automotive Technicians and Heavy Vehicle Mechanics are available at Samthang Technical Training Institute (TTI).
2. Heavy Equipment Operation: Six-month courses for Backhoe Operators and Excavator Operators will also be hosted at Samthang TTI.
3. Artisanal & Technical Skills: A two-month Boot Making course (Mongolian & Bhutanese styles) is offered at the DSP Center in Taba, while a three-month Plumbing course will take place in Dzongkhalum, Trongsa.
Eligibility Criteria
Requirements vary depending on the chosen field:
1. Automotive/Mechanical: Applicants must have completed Class X and above.
2. Heavy Equipment: Open to those aged 21 and older with at least a Class VI education and a valid learner license.
3. Boot Making & Plumbing: Open to all Gyalsups interested in these specific skills.
