Gyalsung Training in 2026 Batch
The Gyalsung Training 2026 program will be conducted for 3 months in two cohorts starting 2nd March 2026, for the first cohort and 1st July 2026, for the second cohort respectively. The Gyalsung Training Program is designed to impart discipline, knowledge, and leadership skills and instill values to imbue in every cadet the distinctive watermarks of integrity, discipline, excellence, accountability, and loyalty.
All Gyalsup(s) will undergo Basic Military Training (BMT) to enhance their strength and fitness levels and participate in drills and other associated activities such as obstacle courses, weapon handling, etc.

2nd June 2025 to 30th August 2025 | Sign Up & Registration for all Bhutanese born in 2007 and 2005 or 2006 born deferred from 2025 Batch whether in Bhutan or abroad. | |
1st September 2025 onwards | Application for Exemption and Deferment from Gyalsung Training 2026 Batch for those exempted or deferred by law. | |
1st Oct 2025 to 31st Dec 2025 | The Medical Screening for the 2026 Batch will be carried out nationwide across 24 hospitals for those residing in the country. | Any changes in the date shall be announced via official website and social media page. |
1st – 23th January 2026 | The Medical Screening for the 2026 Batch, who are currently residing outside the country will be carried out across selected hospitals. | Any changes in the date shall be announced via official website and social media page. |
28th January 2026 | The review of the medical examination shall be accepted until 28 January 2026, and the determination of the medical results shall be finalized by midnight of the same date | |
2nd February 2026 | Enlistment Notice will be delivered with important details such as assigned academy, cohort assigned, date of report, travel details etc. | First Cohort 2026 Batch |
25th – 27th February 2026 | The first cohort Enlistees shall report to the assigned Gyalsung Academy. | |
2nd March to 30th May 2026 | The training of the first cohort of Gyalsung 2026 shall commence. | The Gyalsung Training for first cohort 2026 Batch commences |
April to 29th May 2026 | Those who didn’t complete their medical examination in the above time frame shall be screened here. The determination of the medical results shall be finalized by midnight of the 29th May 2026. | Any changes in the date and hospital shall be announced via official website and social media page. |
