Gyalsung Training in 2025
The Gyalsung Training 2025 program will be conducted for 3 months in two cohorts starting from 1st April, for the first cohort and 1st August for the second cohort. The Gyalsung Training Program is designed to impart discipline, knowledge, and leadership skills and instill values to imbue in every cadet the distinctive watermarks of integrity, discipline, excellence, accountability, and loyalty.
All Gyalsup(s) will undergo Basic Military Training (BMT) to enhance their strength and fitness levels and participate in drills and other associated activities such as obstacle courses, weapon handling, etc. While the BMT will be conducted by the Royal Bhutan Army and courses on National Education will be conducted by specialists.
Although not a part of the official curriculum, Gyalsup(s) will pick up skills like teamwork, leadership, and independence as well as essential life skills as they go about their day-to-day activities at the Gyalsung campus.

1st October to 30th November 2024 | Application for Exemption and Deferment from Gyalsung Training 2025 Batch for those exempted or deferred by law. | |
Oct to Dec 2024 | Medical Screening for those Registered and residing in Bhutan. The Medical Screening for the 2025 Batch will be carried out nationwide across hospitals. | For those residing outside Bhutan, medical appointment slots will be available closer to the enlistment date. |
15th March 2025 | Enlistment Notice will be delivered with important details such as assigned academy, cohort assigned, date of report, travel details etc. | |
26th – 28th March 2025 | The first cohort Enlistees shall report to the assigned Gyalsung Academy. | |
1st June to 31st July 2025 | Apply for Exemption from Gyalsung Training 2025 Batch for those youth pursuing college or training. | |
26th – 28th July 2025 | The second cohort Enlistees shall report to the assigned Gyalsung Academy. | |
1st April to 30th June 2025 | The training of the first cohort of Gyalsung 2025 shall commence. | The Gyalsung Training 2025 commences |
