Disasters can strike at any moment, and being prepared is our best line of defense. To strengthen our national disaster preparedness and community response, the Gyalsung Headquarters, in collaboration with the Department of Local Governance and Disaster Management (DLGDM), is proud to announce the latest Basic Search and Rescue Training program.
Why This Training Matters
The primary goal of this initiative is to build a group of skilled individuals capable of contributing to disaster risk reduction. Participants will gain practical knowledge and essential tools to support local authorities during emergencies and foster a culture of resilience across the country.
Program Overview
The training is a comprehensive two-week program beginning on 25 February 2026. It will be hosted at the Tashigatshel National Search and Rescue Training Center (NSARTC) in Chukha.
We are looking for 100 participants (50 male and 50 female) who meet the following criteria:
Eligibility: Must be able to read and write.
Accommodation: All participants will be provided with hostel accommodation for the duration of the course.
Note: While the training offers invaluable skills, please note that no monetary benefits will be provided.
